New Entry

This week's newest entry is from U2, who's new album "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" is due out within a few weeks. "Vertigo" brings back memories of U2's power days of Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. Early Album reviews say similar things about the whole album, and it should prove to be a stronger release than 2000's "All That You Can't Leave Behind."

This song has also been picked up by Apple for the iTunes campaign. The song definitely moves.

Sox win

On an unrelated note, and because everyone else is doing it, the Boston Red Sox have won the World Series of Baseball. The good news is this means that there's not going to be anymore baseball games for a while.

Watch for it

New Song hit the airways in my region today. It's from a group we should all be familiar with, "Social Distortion". The song is called "Reach for the Sky."

Look for this song to be hitting the Top 10 in the coming weeks.

New Entry

This week marks a new entry by Green Day. It's the second release from their new "American Idiot" album, and it features some of their more mature attitude. The group has infact grown up, and is not as infantile as they appeared on the "Dookie" album. However, this is not to say they have lost their sense of fun. The song begins with a great guitar riff that echoes throughout the entire song.

The lyrics show that the group is thinking about more than simple short term relationships, and they are looking for more. Lyrics that become poetry show a band that has done something positive.

I look forward to hearing more Green Day singles. The album is good, and everyone should be treated to hearing more of it on the radio.
